When you first set up your Neocities site, you're given the option to specify up to 5 topic tags that relate to your site's content. But what happens if you want to switch these tags? Step 1: Log in and go to "Profile"
Log into Neocities and then go to Profile, as shown in the image below.
This only works on Profile, and not on Edit Site or Activity, so be sure to click on Profile.
Step 2: Scroll down to Tags
At this point you should be on your Profile page, so scroll down. On the right hand side of the page, you'll see the heading Tags, like this:
You'll see Remove and Add links under your tags, as in the screenshot above.
If you don't see the Add link, don't worry! That's normal if you already have the maximum of 5 tags there. In that situation, you'll have to remove a tag before you add another. After you've removed a tag and gotten down to 4 tags, the Add button will appear.
So just click on Remove and Add as needed; a dialog window will pop up and you can take it from there, adding and removing tags to your heart's content.
Troubleshooting
If you don't see an Add or Remove link at all, if there's nothing under your tags, this is probably because you're not on Profile, but on Activity or something else instead. Go to the top right to switch to Profile, just like in Step 1.
The Activity page looks almost the same as the Profile page, so it is very easy to get them confused. But you can only switch Neocities tags on the Profile page, not the Activity page.
